The 2018 Tag World Cup opening ceremony took place with teams from all the competing nations parading on the main pitches at Coffs International Stadium.

Great Britain, led by flag bearer Kirsty Clarke and supported by Davinia Murray and David Wilkinson, were represented by the four squads (Men’s Seniors, Men’s Open, Women’s Seniors and Mixed Open) along with coaches and support staff.

The opening game was officiated by Dom Collingwood, from Try Tag Rugby London, who performed brilliantly in front of a packed stadium with two teams desperate for an opening day win.

The Great Britain Men’s Open, cheered on by the rest of team GB, provided the best possible start with a commanding performance to beat Greece 6-3.
