Great Britain Tag Rugby

Embarking on my third consecutive World Cup as Great Britain Programme Director is both a privilege and an honour.

Competing for the most coveted title of World Champions across Men’s, Women’s and Mixed disciplines requires vision, dedication and execution from everyone involved. Working with a team of highly respected coaches and back room training staff to ensure Great Britain’s elite perform to the best of their ability presents a huge opportunity both for the individuals and Great Britain.

Working with our 30,000+ registered players across Great Britain and experiencing unprecedented levels of increased commitment, enthusiasm and talent has demonstrated huge growth in both the sport and all those who play it. To be part of such a fast growing and non-discriminative sport, available to all and performed on a completely level playing field is an absolute pleasure.

November 2018 will see results of the enviable efforts so many will give over the coming year and I look forward to representing the true DNA of Great British sport returning with the ‘Silverware’ we are aiming to win.

This leaves me to say good luck to all our Great Britain squads and Thank You to all our Great Britain Team World Cup Partners.
— Phillip Browne, GB Tag Rugby Programme Director
